chamber really tight 10.4X38

I am trying to get the old M78 ready to test fire. I borrowed a cartridge from a friend of my that has 1869 Swiss Vetterli it fit been full length sized through a set of Lee dies and one that been fired through his rifle both fit so tight that about 1/8" ...
